Grass and Cover Crop Seeding
South McLean County Soil Conservation District utilizes a 30' Great Plains drill for planting cover crops. This drill has the capacity to seed native grasses, small seed legumes, and cover crops in minimum and no till conditions. The ND Game and Fish Department provided financial assistance in the purchase of this equipment which was purchased through AgPro Equipment Services, Inc of Washburn, ND. The District also has a 15' Truax Native Grass Drill that can be used for planting native and tame grass plantings. The District charges $15/Acre with a $350.00 minimum which does NOT include seed costs. |
Shredding
The District charges $13.00 per acre with a $250.00 minimum.

The South McLean County Soil Conservation District charges $75/hour with a $150 minimum.
